It’s the holidays, the time of year you’re traditionally supposed to spend with loved ones eating too much and watching corny-ass television. If you’re like me, however, you’ll probably be keeping an eye out for the latest hot sneaker releases. In recognition of the tradition of gift-giving at this time of year, we’ll be running down a list of the shoes we’d most want to receive as a present.

First up is the Jordan Men’s Collezione 15/8, which, as the name suggests, packs a double punch with both the black/varsity red XV and the white/stealth/varsity red VIII, two controversial classics in the Jordan line.

With a Jumpman logo reminiscent of the peace symbol on the tongue and a mass of straps criss-crossing the forefoot, the Air Jordan VIII was met with a mixed reception when first released. Likewise, the Air Jordan XV, nicknamed the “Spaceship” Jordan, had an equal number of fans and detractors when it hit shelves late last millennium.

Were they ahead of the curve or just too far-out to be considered among the best shoes in the Air Jordan line? Either way, they’ve both grown on me over the years.
