The Converse Weapon 86 is a personal favorite of mine, so I was very happy to discover that a series of new colorways are coming out for the Converse Weapon 86.
The Converse Weapon takes some inspiration from popular NBA franchises such as the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, and Chicago Bulls.
Check out the three photos I posted below. As you can see the red/white colorway mirrors the Bulls, while the green/white and blue/orange obviously stick out for the Celtics and Knicks respectively.
Even more ironic? The Celtics and Bulls are currently in a heated first round playoff battle while the Knicks…are well…the Knicks.
I’ve noted this before, but the Converse Weapon is one of the most famous lines in the Converse brand (after the Chuck Taylor of course) and was marketed heavily by Magic and Larry Bird in their hayday.
Think Magic is pissed the Lakers aren’t represented in this series of Converse Weapon 86?
