Black is in style. Over the course of the last five years we’ve seen Johnny Cash become cool again and The Dark Knight soar to gigantic box office numbers. People like life in the shadows, and this has never been more evident than in the world of basketball sneakers.

I’ve always been a fan of black over white when it comes to basketball kicks. Every basketball player selects their sneakers for a different reason, but the style and color does say something about the player. Maybe the black that I always sported was picked because it reminded me of the lyrics from “Man in Black.”
