Kobe Bryant has already been very busy in 2009. Even in the midst of his efforts to bring another NBA championship to L.A., he’s found time to work with Nike in producing high-end basketball sneakers. While the Nike Zoom Kobe IV is drawing most of the attention right now, the new Nike Dream Season shouldn’t be overlooked.

The Nike Dream Season – Kobe Bryant is esthetically somewhat similar to the Hyperdunk/Kobe IV Fusion that Mamba was wearing prior to the debut of the Kobe IV. The shape is something like a higher cut of the Kobe IV, omitting the Flyewire and Lunar Foam but with a Phylon midsole and an air unit in the heel.

The Nike Dream Season – Kobe Bryant will premier in the traditional L.A. Laker white/purple/gold colorway, with a white/black/red colorway rumored to follow soon after. Each sneaker is adorned with a thorn-like pattern and Kobe’s signature on the tongue and heel.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get your hands on the sneaker for a minute as it’s not set to reach retailers until the fall.
